Operation Normal ?

openSUSE 11.0 x86_64 に VMware Player 2.0.4 をインストールして vmware-config.pl を実行したところ、途中で下記のようなメッセージが表示されました。

Your kernel was built with "gcc" version "4.3.1", while you are trying to use
"/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.3". This configuration is not recommended and VMware
Player may crash if you'll continue. Please try to use exactly same compiler as
one used for building your kernel. Do you want to go with compiler
"/usr/bin/gcc" version "4.3" anyway? [no]

そんなこと言われてもなぁ。。。
/usr/bin/gcc は /usr/bin/gcc-4.3 へのシンボリックリンクになっていて、その gcc-4.3 のバージョンは 4.3.1 なんですよねぇ。だから問題無いはず。

つーことで、ここは yes と入力して vmware-config.pl の実行を続行。結果、vmware-config.pl は無事に最後まで完走。Vmware Player 自体も問題なく起動し、仮想環境も正常動作しています。
